     Alaska is a the largest state in the United States by are situated in the northwest of the North American continent lying on the Arctic Circle. East of the state is Canadian territory of Yukon and the Canadian province of British Columbia. The north is the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas, southern parts of the Arctic Ocean. To the west and south is the Pacific Ocean, with Russia . It has the 4th least populous and the least densely populated of the 50 United States. Juneau is the State capital and third largest city in Alaska. Alaska consists of five distinct regions: 

       Southeastern, a collection of islands and fjords

       Southcentral, most population of the state

       Interior, with Fairbanks as the gateway to all points Arctic

       Arctic, extending up to the Arctic ocean

       Southwest, where the Aleutians stretch west toward Asia
